  • designed and pitched a map expansion, describing the r.o.i. and player investment

  • designed and implemented 5 missions of different types

  • worked within constraints of an un-editable landscape

  • worked with marketing team to create a billboard asset, fitting into the space narratively and creating a player-engagement hotspot

  • handled the audio ambience emitter placement

focused on:

  • intentional objective placement to get players thinking strategically

  • environmental storytelling to explain the expansion thematically

gameplay intentions:

  • encourage strategic team composition based on the shifts from close-quarters to open spaces

  • have players actively seek out cover or high ground to produce coordinated attacks

problems solved:

  • internal testers kept dying to the boundary collision or hitting blocking volumes → adjusted positions of blocking volumes, and rearranged the layout of some set dressing to show players that the area ahead wasn’t playable

  • one of the meshes used had problematic collision, resulting in the qa team writing up 200+ bugs of varying priority → quickly identified the mesh and bulk replaced it with a better one, double checking the visuals and collisions, and closing all the bugs within a matter of days
